Holladay is one of the oldest settlements in the Salt Lake Valley, settled in the late 1840s and incorporated as a city in 1999. It lies on the east side between Millcreek and Cottonwood Heights, with Holladay Village and its town center at Holladay Boulevard as the commercial heart.
The city is known for larger lots, mature trees and established neighborhoods of ranch homes, custom homes and mid-century houses, with some newer infill and townhome projects near the village. Interstate 215 and Highland Drive connect it to downtown Salt Lake City and the canyons.
